I believe, that every tourist worthy place on the planet, is unique enough to have it’s favored way of exploring it. Sometimes that means walking, sometimes it means walking, sometimes it means boating. But, when it comes to Florida, I really think you need a car. Let’s face it, this is a pretty big state, and unless you’ve got months of time to spend there, your never going to get from one end to the other without some sort of motorized vehicle. Florida car rentals are plentiful and pretty cheap due to the large volume of traffic, so there’s no need to worry about the cost. Throw in the fact, that there’s just so many cool things to see in Florida, and the case for doing it by car really becomes a no brainer.
There’s all kinds of crazy little obscure tourist traps in this great state, and if I couldn’t do it by car, then my next favorite choice would be by motorcycle. If you’ve never driven one before, then maybe it’s about time you learned. It gives you that outdoor feeling going down the road in a way you won’t get with a car, but without any protection from the weather. Given Florida’s strong sun, and regular rain showers, it’s pretty easy to understand why my first choice is my car. Do make sure when your driving, that you make a point of heading through the keys. Driving across Florida causeways surrounded by nothing but water is a pretty cool experience. Almost as good as sailing.
My brother, who lives in Florida, asked me to bring the samara james rings that he pre-ordered, so I did. I’ve only been there once or twice and it was just a short visit so I was a bit worried I’d lost my way, even with the navi guiding me. Luckily I was able to arrive at their home safely and I really enjoyed driving across Florida causeways; it was surprisingly a beautiful sight to see.
