I have a sailboat myself, and I must admit, that there is a feeling like no other when I’m out sailing with the family. On a nice day, with 10 to 15 knots of wind in a nice offshore breeze I feel like I do in no other place on earth. It’s like a gentle massage of the body and soul. Something that even the best online massage schools would have a hard time imparting on their students. It’s like your in the hands of mother nature at her finest. Yes the top massage schools online are good at what they do, but it’s hard to replace nature when it comes the natural feeling of a massage form the wind and the waves.

Another summer is almost upon us, and it’s time to get the Seadoo out of storage and ready for the lake. One thing that I think about every year, aside from what new gadgets and accessories (like new [...]

Houses and cars are not the only things that get repossessed by banks. People who can no longer afford to pay for their boats lose them as well. If you are interested in getting a boat or yacht and do not want to pay top dollar for it, you should really check out [...]

One of my favorite non Jimmy Buffett boating songs has to be Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay by Otis Redding. While there are some that may not consider this a true boating song, as Otis is not really singing about boats per say, I think there missing the point. Sure, it’s obvious that the setting is a boating place, but that’s not all that makes it really a boating song. It’s really all about the intention and feel of the song that convinces me. Is so easy going and nonchalant that makes it work for me. I could see wasting time with my Cartier replica watch no were in site. It’s like, I don’t even care how long I’ve been here and how much time has passed. That’s so much what boating can be like, and part of the reason why it’s one of my favorite past times.
A lot more fun than shopping, or hanging around some mall watching all the teens ignore their friends while they text all their other friends and their newest cell phones. If I wanted to go shopping to buy replica watches, I just as soon do it online. That just gives me more time to get back to doing the important stuff. Boating, sailing, boat watching, boat fixing, and sitting on the dock, and checking out everyone else’s boats. Really fun stuff.
I was doing a little research on Otis Redding and discovered a few interesting facts. That is, if you can believe what you read on YouTube. Apparently this song was not quite finished when Otis passed away at the too young age of 26 in a plane crash. The whistling on the end of the song only occurred, because he didn’t remember the words during that one take. It fits so perfectly though, it kind of makes me wonder. I mean, whistling on the dock is something that seems so natural. I could see whistling there myself. If just fits. Kind of like finding luxury replica timepieces on a New York street corner. Kind of natural you know.
I stuck in a picture of my favorite kind of dock. The one with sailboats on either side. While the picture is taken somewhere in France, it looks remarkably like the one I spend a lot of summers on . I do watch a bit of time roll away while I’m there, and even manage to do a bit of sailing when I get the chance.
