biological status of the Florida manatee.

What:
The Florida
Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) has been petitioned
to re-evaluate the listing status of the Florida Manatee, (Trichechus
manatus latirostris), subspecies of the West Indian manatee,
(Trichechus manatus). The Commission hearby requests written
comments on the biological status of the Florida manatee pursuant
to, 68A-27.0012, Florida Administrative Code.
When:
Written comments will be accepted June 21, 2002, until 5 p.m.,
Aug. 5, 2002.
